Dunham urged to ‘have a salad’
NEW YORK — Joan Rivers is sticking it to over-exposed Girls creator Lena Dunham.
In her new book, Diary of a Mad Diva, the famed comedienne calls Dunham the “first fat girl naked on the television” and reveals her ire stems from a star-studded event featuring Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Barbara Walters among others. Dunham cheekily pro - claimed t hat she was a pioneer f or women in entertainment.
Rivers — who once told Howard Stern she was a fan of Dunham — complains that if she has to endure Dunham’s “a—, boobs or tattoos” again, she wants “HBO charged with crimes against humanity.” And if lightning rod Dunham is free enough to “have her fat a— on display,” Rivers wonders why she isn’t “free enough to have a f—ing salad once in a while?”
