Police seek stolen Saudi cash

Saskatoon police say a “substantial” amount of Saudi riyal currency was stolen in a break and enter to a home on Sunday.

They won’t disclose the amount of money stolen, but said in a statement that the cash was in denominations of 500 riyals. One riyal is worth about CAD $0.35.

According to police, there may be attempts to exchange the stolen bills for Canadian dollars.
