Blue Bombers sweep CFL’s best of August

Running back Andrew Harris, quarterback Matt Nichols and defensive back Maurice Leggett of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were named the CFL’s top performers for August on Wednesday. Harris ran for 330 yards on 45 carries and twice ran for more than 100 yards in a game. He also had 17 catches for 192 yards. Nichols completed 108 of 151 passes for 1,203 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception. Nichols also ran eight times for 64 yards and a TD. Leggett registered 19 tackles, three sacks, and forced three fumbles.
