5 WAYS TO FILL YOUR WEEKEND
We are halfway through the month already, with all sorts of great things happening in Saskatoon. Here are a few to consider this weekend...
1 The Christmas Craft Fair happens Friday and Saturday at the Western Development Museum. If you have trouble buying gifts for people, this is the place to hit. They aim to offer something for everyone.
2 Feeling a little Rocky Mountain High? Fans of John Denver will want to head to the Dakota Dunes Casino on Saturday night to see Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon: A Tribute to John Denver.
3 If this month is October, it must be time for Octoberfest 2017. If you head out to the German Cultural Centre tonight, you’ll find that to be true. Just make sure you have a safe ride home. The centre is found on Cartwright Road near the Willows.
4 The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra presents SSO Stardust — the Music of Bowie on Saturday night. The pop icon’s material — from Rebel Rebel to China Girl and Fame to Suffragette City — is covered by the Jeans ’ N Classics team at the SSO at the Sid Buckwold Theatre at TCU Place.
5 Finally, if you’re looking for some sporting action, there is the U of S Huskie football team playing Saturday night. Get out and cheer on the team as they press for a playoff spot against the tough UBC Thunderbirds.
