We are half­way through the month al­ready, with all sorts of great things hap­pen­ing in Saska­toon. Here are a few to con­sider this week­end...

1 The Christ­mas Craft Fair hap­pens Fri­day and Satur­day at the Western De­vel­op­ment Mu­seum. If you have trou­ble buy­ing gifts for peo­ple, this is the place to hit. They aim to of­fer some­thing for ev­ery­one.

2 Feel­ing a lit­tle Rocky Moun­tain High? Fans of John Den­ver will want to head to the Dakota Dunes Casino on Satur­day night to see Chris Collins and Boul­der Canyon: A Trib­ute to John Den­ver.

3 If this month is Oc­to­ber, it must be time for Oc­to­ber­fest 2017. If you head out to the Ger­man Cul­tural Cen­tre tonight, you’ll find that to be true. Just make sure you have a safe ride home. The cen­tre is found on Cartwright Road near the Wil­lows.

4 The Saska­toon Sym­phony Orches­tra presents SSO Star­dust — the Mu­sic of Bowie on Satur­day night. The pop icon’s ma­te­rial — from Rebel Rebel to China Girl and Fame to Suf­fragette City — is cov­ered by the Jeans ’ N Clas­sics team at the SSO at the Sid Buck­wold The­atre at TCU Place.

5 Fi­nally, if you’re look­ing for some sport­ing ac­tion, there is the U of S Huskie foot­ball team play­ing Satur­day night. Get out and cheer on the team as they press for a play­off spot against the tough UBC Thun­der­birds.
