Lo­cal trio named 2017 CJFL all-Cana­di­ans on of­fence

Three Saska­toon Hill­top play­ers — a pair of of­fen­sive line­men and a run­ning back — have been named Cana­dian Ju­nior Foot­ball League (CJFL) all-Cana­di­ans on of­fence for the 2017 sea­son.

O -line an­chors Ma­son Ochs and Kirk Si­mon­sen lead the way as first-time CJFL all-star se­lec­tions. They are joined by gritty tail­back Lo­gan Fis­cher, who rushed the ball 121 times dur­ing the reg­u­lar sea­son for 804 yards and a league-lead­ing 11 touch­down ma­jors.

Of the 13 all-Cana­di­ans on of­fence, the Prairie Foot­ball Con­fer­ence has six and the B.C. Con­fer­ence has four.

CJFL ma­jor award win­ners will be an­nounced Fri­day night dur­ing the Cana­dian Bowl Ban­quet of Cham­pi­ons.

The 110th Cana­dian Bowl will kick-off Satur­day at noon (Sask. time) at Alumni Field in Wind­sor, Ont., be­tween the host Wind­sor AKO Frat­men and Saska­toon Hill­tops.
