2013 Spring Best of Varietal Wine Awards
Just in time for warmer weather and BBQ season — this rub works great on red meats and chicken. We substitute sweet smoked paprika for the plain paprika which lends a wonderful smoky flavour! The name of the recipe comes from its creator, Todd of SmokingMeatForums.com.
Makes 2 1/3 cups
1 cup sugar 1/2 cup paprika 2 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper 2 tbsp lemon pepper 2 tbsp kosher salt 2 tbsp chili powder 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp onion powder 2 tbsp cayenne pepper In a medium-sized bowl, combine all the ingredients with your hands. Store in a resealable jar or container.
