Seaway News - - HOME IMPROVEMENT -

The Probus Club of Cornwall and area is looking for new members. The club welcomes retired or semi-retired people from professional or business backgrounds and are looking for new members who wish to maintain a social network with others who have similar interests.

Meetings are held at the Navy Veterans’ Association of Cornwall, 30 Sixth St. E., on the fourth Thursday of each month— except in July and August— the format of which is a speakerlunch program. Presentations by well-known guest speakers include current issues, community projects, historic talks, hobbies and travel, to name just a few. In addition to the regular program, special events are held throughout the year.

Each Probus Club is initially sponsored by a Rotary Club, and today there are more than 30,000 members in approximately 4,000 Probus Clubs worldwide. In 2010 the Probus Club will be celebrating 15 years here in Cornwall!

If you think the Probus Club would meet your interest, please contact Margaret Dubé, membership coordinator, at 613-932-7941.

Do come join the Probus Club as a guest at the next general meeting!
