Seaway News - - EDITORIAL& OPINIONS - Judy Rose, Cornwall R.E.C.E.

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the individual or individuals for ripping out 2 small bushes from our playground. We worked very hard to provide an environment the children can have fun in, learn how to care for the earth and trees and also learn about insects and birds. Thanks to you, the children are unable to experience any of these things.

We teach children to respect our environment, yet when

they see things disappearing from our playground, what is that teaching them? It is people like you who are taking away our children's learning environment. What is left to teach them? Certainly how to not be like you.

It is my hope that the children in our centre will not grow up to behave like the vandals who are trying to destroy our playground. Shame on you for disappointing and taking away the fun for our young children!
