LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Disagree on wards

Seaway News - - Opinion -

Dear Editor, Totally disagree with your perspective. Lived in ward communities most of my adult life and was refreshed to see Cornwall’s structure.

Voting for “councillors at large” gives city residents with a say in the total representation of their government. A small city like Cornwall

Reply, Why not Wards?

would suffer with ward councillors vying for what is best for their little ward Vs what might be best for Cornwall overall.

Cornwall is small enough so that what is good for one ward for the mostpart will be benefit all. Cornwall’s structure increases the likelihood of all pulling together Vs for each fifedom.
