Man­slaugh­ter charge in over­dose death

A 34-year-old man has been with man­slaugh­ter af­ter an over­dose death this month, Brant­ford po­lice said Thurs­day. A 46-year-old man over­dosed Sept. 1, on what po­lice be­lieve was co­caine and fen­tanyl, and died three days later in hospi­tal. The 34-year-old man is ac­cused of sell­ing pow­ered fen­tanyl and pow­dered co­caine to the man who died, po­lice said. He is charged with man­slaugh­ter and drug traf­fick­ing-re­lated charges. Last week, South Sim­coe po­lice charged two In­n­is­fil men with man­slaugh­ter, ac­cus­ing them of sup­ply­ing drugs to a 23 year old who died of a heroin and fen­tanyl over­dose in April.
