Manslaughter charge in overdose death
A 34-year-old man has been with manslaughter after an overdose death this month, Brantford police said Thursday. A 46-year-old man overdosed Sept. 1, on what police believe was cocaine and fentanyl, and died three days later in hospital. The 34-year-old man is accused of selling powered fentanyl and powdered cocaine to the man who died, police said. He is charged with manslaughter and drug trafficking-related charges. Last week, South Simcoe police charged two Innisfil men with manslaughter, accusing them of supplying drugs to a 23 year old who died of a heroin and fentanyl overdose in April.
