If you build it, they will come. Such was the case when we turned Toronto’s stun­ning Queen Rich­mond Cen­tre West into a grand event space — and over 600 of the city’s most stylish celebri­ties, in­flu­encers, movers, and shakers showed up dressed to the nines. The oc­ca­sion? The launch of Sharp: The Book For Men Fall/ Win­ter 2017, and our sis­ter mag­a­zine’s in­au­gu­ral is­sue of S/vol­ume.

Noth­ing — not even the start of the hockey sea­son — could stop Toronto’s so­cial scene from pack­ing the venue. And who could blame them? The place was kept buzzing thanks to Hen­nessy, Belvedere Vodka, Glen­morangie, Moët & Chan­don, and Heineken. Ap­petites were sa­ti­ated with hors d’oeu­vres by Ri­carda’s.

Guests were given a chance to pine over Volvo’s al­lur­ing new XC60 cross­over SUV, both in black (on the Sharp side) and white (on the S/ side), each dis­played un­der the venue’s soar­ing X-shaped delta frames.

Amer­i­can Crew was on hand to of­fer touch ups to guests’ ’dos. Mean­while, Prada pro­vided spritzes of their Luna Rossa Car­bon and L’homme fra­grances for the gents, and La Femme for the ladies.

Need­less to say, it was a roar­ing good time. Af­ter all these years, were you ex­pect­ing any less?
