Massey-vanier awards ceremony offers students a bright future
The highlight of the evening for parents and teachers was the presentation of the awards.
The highlight for the students and presenters was the opportunity to meet informally before the ceremony to get to know each other.
There were community leaders paying their successes forward and sharing words of wisdom with the young grads.
Memorial scholarship presenters paid tribute to loved ones, sharing their stories with the students, hoping to inspire and keep their memories alive.
The Record was honoured to present the Charles Bury Bursary to Maya Rowe, from the Knowlton/bonville area.
Rowe plans to attend Dawson next year, studying arts, literature and communications. She is considering a minor in journalism, and said she enjoys writing, especially poetry.
The Record would like to congratulate Rowe and the other award recipients and graduates from MVHS this year and wish them well in future endeavours.
