Camp d’action Biblique beach closed

-

The Department of Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Change is advising the public that it has agreed with the Municipality of Cleveland to ban access to the beach due to high bacteriological contamination.

The results of sample analysis taken on July 18 showed that the water at the beach failed to comply with the bacteriological quality standards of the Ministry and, consequently, the public must refrain from visiting this beach for bathing purposes until otherwise notified by the Department.

It should be noted that, in order to learn more about the bacteriological quality of the water at beaches eligible for the Environment-plage program, one need only consult the Ministry’s website or contact the regional office of the Centre de contrôle environnementale du Québec at 819-820-3882, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
