Gaiters to debut new helmet design in 2017
The Bishop’s Gaiters will be in a new conference, with a new head coach and now a new fresh look. Ahead of their initial season in the Atlantic University Sports conference the Gaiters have adjusted their football helmets.
Keeping the same classic silver helmet base, the classic Gaiters on the side of the helmet will now sport the “BU” logo. Oher changes include the removal of the white and purple stripes across the top of the helmet and instead of a white facemask, Bishop’s will have a dark purple.
The Gaiters open their training camp in mid August and play their first game of the season on September 2nd in Wolfville, Nova Scotia against the Acadia Axemen before making their home debut against the Saint Mary’s University Huskies on September 9th at Coulter Field.
