A regional products island has also been placed at the entrance of the store that will promote a local producer every month.

This nearly $3 million investment has enabled the consolidation of 30 jobs and the creation of 15 new ones. The company has also demonstrated some additional social responsibility by using local social economy organizations to acquire, furniture, cribs, bags, logos, posters, shelves; and other materials.

The Coop d'alentour opened in 1979 on Wellington Street by about ten organic food enthusiasts and has grown to employ more than 115 workers and become the largest distributor of organic products in Quebec.
