Open House at Fibromyalgia Association
The Fibromyalgia Association of the Eastern Townships (AFE) is inviting the public to come out foir its Open Doors Day which will take place on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1013 Galt West in Sherbrooke.
The event is an opportunity to demystify fibromyalgia and raise awareness of services offered by the Association.
The programming of activities for the fall of 2017 is once again diversified and includes some new components and more than twenty different activities have been proposed for the Eastern Townships. Conferences, workshops, adapted physical activities, Polia, technique Nia, meditation, aqua fibro, yoga, Qi Gong, sophrology, therapeutic singing, and autohypnosis, are among the activities planned, and a coffee-meeting and sharing group are proposed. Video presentations of the activities offered will help explain these activities and welcome, listening and support are always available.
In addition, Autumn 2017 will be marked by the deployment of the AFE'S activities in the Lac-mégantic and Asbestos regions.
The Open Doors event is a special time for people who want information on fibromyalgia to get documentation and talk to staff and volunteers on site.
The Fibromyalgia Association of the Eastern Townships has more than 300 members. It has been in existence for 24 years and is dedicated to helping people with fibromyalgia develop tools to achieve individual well-being, while providing a place of belonging where they feel recognized and welcomed.
