The Richmond Young Women’s Institute held their October meeting at Joyce Mastine’s.

Five members recited the Mary Stewart Collect. Roll call was to bring a birthday card, and gift bag for the Wales Home birthday party in November. Minutes from the August meeting were read and approved.

We received thank you notes from Devon Keenan and Kayla Long who were our branch bursary winners.

Debra Knowles, our Agriculture Convenor, gave a report from the Richmond Fair.

Rhoda read the write-up about Lyla Beattie that was published in the book “WI Pioneers.” Elizabeth reported on the semi-annual meeting held on September 25.

Elizabeth won our floating prize, and we then enjoyed a social time over lunch, thanks to our hostess Joyce.
