Regis­tra­tion for flu shots be­gins

egis­tra­tion has be­gun for the flu vac­cine of­fered by the CIUSSS of Estrie – CHUS, the dis­tri­bu­tion of which will be­gin on Novem­ber 27. This vac­cine is of­fered free of charge to chil­dren aged 6 to 23 months, preg­nant women in the sec­ond and third trimesters of preg­nancy, peo­ple aged 2 to 60 with a chronic dis­ease, in­clud­ing preg­nant women re­gard­less of the stage of preg­nancy, per­sons aged 60 or over, rel­a­tives of chil­dren un­der 6 months of age and those above, and health care work­ers.

To regis­ter, call 819 821-5118 (Sher­brooke and vicin­ity) or toll-free 1 877 921-5118 (else­where in the re­gion, in­clud­ing the Granby and Cowansville ar­eas). Regis­tra­tion is also pos­si­ble through the web­site Clic­sante.ca.

Be­ing as­signed an ap­point­ment can take sev­eral days. The vac­ci­na­tion pe­riod be­gins on Novem­ber 27.

Note that a pneu­mo­nia vac­cine is also avail­able to peo­ple 65 years of age or older who have not al­ready re­ceived it.
