Greens present regional candidates
The Quebec Green Party will be introducing its Estrie region candidates in the upcoming election this Thursday, February 15, from 7pm at the Café Pierre Jean Jase at 550 Montreal St. in Sherbrooke
The five candidates, accompanied by provincial Party leader Alex Tyrrell, will be on hand for what they describe as a, friendly and festive launching of their in Estrie campaign.
The evening will provide a unique opportunity to meet with Tyrrell and the Greens’ Estrie team: Yves La Madeleine (Richmond), Marie-maude Côté-rouleau (Sherbrooke), Stéphanie Desmeules (Orford), Sylvain Dodier (Mégantic), and Mathieu Morin (Saint-françois).
The evening will begin with an informal welcome, followed by a few short speeches. “My colleagues and I will then be available to share a drink or a good meal,” Dodier says.
“We are very proud of all the candidates,” says Tyrrell. “They have different backgrounds and are ready to get involved to defend the environment and social justice. We have a strong, honest team and a progressive program that is not tied to Quebec independence. We are very confident in the party's ability to win the public debate by election time.”
