Sa­lon du livre de l’es­trie ar­rives in Sher­brooke

The 40th edi­tion of the Sa­lon du livre de l’es­trie will be held at the Cen­tre de Foires in Sher­brooke, from Thurs­day Oct. 11 to Sun­day Oct.14. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thurs­day through Satur­day, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sun­day. The event is free for chil­dren un­der 6, $3 for chil­dren be­tween 6 and 18, $5 for adults, and $15 for a four-day pass. Fam­i­lies of two adults and two chil­dren can also pur­chase a $12 fam­ily pass for a day.

Nor­mand Bail­largeon, a pro­lific philoso­pher and es­say­ist, will be this year’s hon­orary pres­i­dent. Télé-québec’s La Fabrique cul­turelle will also present “Panoramique: 360o de poésie,” an im­mer­sive ex­pe­ri­ence which guests will be able to ac­cess by wear­ing vir­tual re­al­ity head­sets.
