Down­town streets closed for Re­mem­brance cer­e­mony

The City of Sher­brooke is warn­ing mo­torists that some down­town streets will be closed this Sun­day, Nov. 11 in the morn­ing, as part of the com­mem­o­ra­tion of Re­mem­brance Day.

From 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., the two lanes of King Street West will be closed be­tween Alexan­dre and Wellington Streets. Traf­fic will also be pro­hib­ited on Wellington Street North, be­tween King West and Fron­tenac Streets from ap­prox­i­mately 12:15 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mo­torists will have to take a de­tour through ad­ja­cent streets. Park­ing will also be pro­hib­ited on some streets in this area. Tem­po­rary sig­nage will be put in place and po­lice will be on hand to di­rect mo­torists.
