chil­dren start bring­ing in crisp leaves and runny noses in­stead of grass stains from out­side. We get the last warm days be­fore the Novem­ber chill sets in, and we look to each other for warmth. We wait to turn the heat on in our homes, but the stove, cook­ing fam­ily meals, keeps it warm enough. There’s just some­thing about the crisp air and warm colours that truly is sooth­ing.
