children start bringing in crisp leaves and runny noses instead of grass stains from outside. We get the last warm days before the November chill sets in, and we look to each other for warmth. We wait to turn the heat on in our homes, but the stove, cooking family meals, keeps it warm enough. There’s just something about the crisp air and warm colours that truly is soothing.
