Thanks for support

Simcoe Reformer - Times-Reformer - - OPINION -

On behalf of Norfolk General Hospital Volunteer Association, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers, donors and sponsors of our recent Treasure Mart event held Nov. 17 at the Aud in Simcoe.

We also wish to acknowledge everyone who kindly contributed the wonderful items sold at this event.

In addition to numerous volunteers from NGH/NHNH, who help out every year with the many hours of hard work, we must also make a special mention of the many other participants without whom Treasure Mart could not happen.

Special thanks go to W.J. Moving, Blue Star Ford, Hertz Rental, and Leon’s Furniture for providing us with transportation for moving our treasures to and from the hospital.

A big thank you to The Kidney Foundation who took the remaining clothes and books. To Doug Sibbett and his team for loading and delivering, the remaining treasures to Brantford. To Karen Sibbett, Brian and Jane Miller, who waited for Doug’s return to finish delivering and closing up shop, thanks to you and your team.

To the students from Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Simcoe Composite, and Waterford: your help and willingness to take on whatever we needed you for was awesome.

For the continued support of the hospital through their kind donations to our event, your local business community cannot be left off this list -- your contributions are a testament to your generosity and community support.

And last, but not least, to the residents of Haldimand, Norfolk and surrounding area who come out year after year to Treasure Mart: we tip our hats to you and thank you most profusely, because really, without you there would be no event.

We look forward to Treasure Mart 2018 and look forward to seeing you all there. Iris Smith Convener
