Delhi Santa Claus Parade
Hundreds of people took in the Delhi Santa Claus Parade on Saturday night. Numerous floats and other entries were awarded prizes in a variety of categories.
The Trailer World float out of Brantford won first prize as the most creative entry in Saturday’s Santa Claus Parade in Delhi. Among those enjoying the view as they made the circuit around town were, from left, Jakob Jordan of Windham Centre, Dorothy Rainey of Teeterville, and Owen Conlan of Teeterville.
It’s a dog’s life when you’re allied with Taffy’s Legacy Canine Reserve & Rehabilitation Centre in Delhi. Members of the Taffy’s delegation in Saturday’s Santa Claus Parade through town were, from left, Rick Wilson of Delhi, Vicky Major of Woodstock, and Angela Wilson of Delhi.
The Salvation Army brass band played traditional Christmas music on their tour around Delhi during the town’s Santa Claus Parade Saturday. Norfolk Mayor Charlie Luke and Delhi Coun. Mike Columbus served as judges. The pair recognized the Salvation Army float in the category of best music. Playing this horn is band member Noah Ouwendyk of Jarvis.
Robot Santa left no doubt where his hockey allegiances lie during Saturday’s Santa Claus Parade through Delhi. Rocking out with Santa on the Delhi Hockey Moms float was Kolton Howden of Delhi. The Hockey Moms float earned an honourable mention from the judges in the category of best lighting.
