Delhi Santa Claus Pa­rade

Hun­dreds of peo­ple took in the Delhi Santa Claus Pa­rade on Satur­day night. Nu­mer­ous floats and other en­tries were awarded prizes in a va­ri­ety of cat­e­gories.

The Trailer World float out of Brant­ford won first prize as the most cre­ative en­try in Satur­day’s Santa Claus Pa­rade in Delhi. Among those en­joy­ing the view as they made the cir­cuit around town were, from left, Jakob Jor­dan of Wind­ham Cen­tre, Dorothy Rainey of Teeter­ville, and Owen Con­lan of Teeter­ville.

It’s a dog’s life when you’re al­lied with Taffy’s Legacy Ca­nine Re­serve & Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tre in Delhi. Mem­bers of the Taffy’s del­e­ga­tion in Satur­day’s Santa Claus Pa­rade through town were, from left, Rick Wil­son of Delhi, Vicky Major of Wood­stock, and An­gela Wil­son of Delhi.

The Sal­va­tion Army brass band played tra­di­tional Christmas mu­sic on their tour around Delhi dur­ing the town’s Santa Claus Pa­rade Satur­day. Nor­folk Mayor Char­lie Luke and Delhi Coun. Mike Colum­bus served as judges. The pair rec­og­nized the Sal­va­tion Army float in the cat­e­gory of best mu­sic. Play­ing this horn is band mem­ber Noah Ouwendyk of Jarvis.

Robot Santa left no doubt where his hockey al­le­giances lie dur­ing Satur­day’s Santa Claus Pa­rade through Delhi. Rock­ing out with Santa on the Delhi Hockey Moms float was Kolton How­den of Delhi. The Hockey Moms float earned an hon­ourable men­tion from the judges in the cat­e­gory of best light­ing.
