Woman injured in crash
A woman suffered serious injuries when her SUV crashed into a tractor trailer stopped along Highway 6 in Hagersville on Monday night. The crash happened at shortly after 9 p.m. north of Sandusk Road. Police were already in the area investigating a two-vehicle collision that had resulted in the closure of Highway 6. No injuries were reported in that crash, but the road was closed to allow emergency crews to remove the damaged vehicles. The tractor trailer was stopped in the southbound lane as the driver waited for the road to re-open when it was struck from behind by an SUV. The 67-year-old woman driving the SUV suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital for treatment. The truck’s driver was not injured. Highway 6 was closed for several hours for the investigation.
