re: ‘Zom­bie walk­ers’ bill wan­ders off re­al­ity (Point of view, Nov. 4)

Quite apart from the im­plied in­sult that i am in­ca­pable of look­ing after my own safety when i walk down the street, per­haps this prob­lem of tex­ting and walk­ing, which seems to be a small one at best, would be bet­ter ad­dressed with an aware­ness cam­paign rather than the threat of puni­tive fines. i know an aware­ness cam­paign would cost money and not cre­ate rev­enue, but since when has the Lib­eral govern­ment been spend­ing averse?
