Mile­stones in the Mak­ing

As the dust set­tles on this past sea­son, there's a sense of awe given how much was ac­com­plished by the ath­letes and the teams be­hind them. The suc­cess of Ski Tour Canada is a tes­ti­mony to the in­tegrity, pas­sion and skill of the peo­ple, or­ga­ni­za­tions and com­pa­nies be­hind the scenes who de­liv­ered in spades. The IBU Biathlon World Cups in Can­more, Alta. and Presque Isle, Me. can also take a bow. And the ath­letes stepped up as well, from Jessie Dig­gins, who had an in­cred­i­ble sea­son, to Alex Har­vey, So­phie Cald­well, Simi Hamil­ton, Ivan Babikov, Dahria Beatty, Su­san Dun­klee, Sean Do­herty, the U.S. women's re­lay team and the Cana­dian men's biathlon­re­lay squad – the mile­stones are in the mak­ing. There have been so many spe­cial mo­ments this sea­son, such as the one of Dig­gins pic­tured here. It's time to give thanks to the many play­ers, both on snow and be­hind the scenes, who make it hap­pen, along with amaz­ing fans the world over.
