U.S. Biathlon An­nounces Part­ner­ship with Auto Europe

In March, Auto Europe CEO Imad Kha­lidi an­nounced a three-way part­ner­ship be­tween his global car-rental com­pany, Out­door Sport In­sti­tute (OSI) and the U.S. Biathlon Team. This new deal will pro­vide sup­port for OSI'S highly suc­cess­ful Biathlon De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram; a pro­gram that has pro­duced 15 Olympians and Par­a­lympians in its first 17 sea­sons, in­clud­ing re­cent world cham­pion Low­ell Bai­ley.

“With such a strong pro­gram here in Maine, this part­ner­ship al­lows us to make a dif­fer­ence where we live, while also sup­port­ing an im­pres­sive U.S. team in their pur­suits abroad,” said Kha­lidi.

Bai­ley be­came the first Amer­i­can to win a World Cham­pi­onship in biathlon when he took the gold in the 20km In­di­vid­ual race in Hochfilzen, Aus­tria in Fe­bru­ary.
