RV’ING IN BANFF:

Snowbirds & RV Travelers - - Alberta -

Banff is Canada’s First National Park, established in 1883. Situated 128 km from Calgary, one would expect to find a multitude of RV Parks and amenities. Not so. This is a national park where the mountain scenery and immersing oneself with nature takes precedence. There are fourteen RV Parks near Banff but read the fine print. Many are just that, campgrounds, with no showers, cable or Wifi. Do not expect to plug in your forty foot motorhome and watch the Blue Jays game. Some parks with limited facilities for RV’ers are Sundance Lodge, Tunnel Mountain, Two Jack Lakeside, Castle Mountain and Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court. These camping sites are open only from mid-May through to mid-September and may or may not take reservations.
