MS Walk day was special

Southwest Booster - - LETTER TO THE EDITOR -

Editor: Our MS Walk was on the only nice day that came between two weeks of cold and windy weather. Everyone seemed to be in high spirits as they set out on the walkway. The company was great and the pace was just right for the walkers.

I had the added pleasure of having a tired three year old ride on my lap for most of the return trip. He pointed out things I forgot to notice.

Once again I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the resident of Swift Current and district. They were quick to donate to our cause and with their help we will put an end to multiple sclerosis.

Rest assured that none of your dollars will be wasted. They money will go to our head office in Toronto where a group of knowledgeable doctors and scientists will allocate the funds to the best research projects. Part of the money will come back to Saskatchewan to our research lab in Saskatoon.

Thank you to everybody who took part in the MS Walk, the sponsors, the volunteers, the walkers, and the people who were so generous with their donations. Without your help we would never be able to achieve our aim of finding the cause and cure of MS by 2015. Sonja Fortney - Swift
