Sites should not be used by non existent campers

Southwest Booster - - LETTER TO THE EDITOR -

Editor: It appears to me that an increasing amount of sites at Sask Landing Park are taken up by non-existent campers. By that I mean all the choice camping sites have units in them, but not necessarily people in the campers.

This year it appears that tents have been placed on many sites to hold them until the park officially opens. People visit the park very early in May, park their camper units (tents) in a choice site, leave them there arne some are left empty most of the summer and some rarely use the facilities of our beautiful park.

I would think that a Provincial Park should be more for recreational use of as many people as possible.

Personally, I prefer the old system of 14 to 21 day stay, followed by vacating the site for a certain period of time, except for the reserve-a-site and seasonal programs.
