Pee­Wee In­di­ans fall in Le­gasse A fi­nal

Tthe he Swift Cur­rent Pee­Wee In­di­ans base­ball team spent long week­end in Regina at the Regina Le­gasse AAA Tour­na­ment and fin­ished with a 3-2 record af­ter drop­ping the A fi­nal 2-0 to the Saskatoon Car­di­nals.

Daw­son Tan­gen and Reid Fritzke pitched a two-hit­ter but the Tribe were un­able to cap­i­tal­ize at the plate in the loss.

In the semi-fi­nals the In­di­ans rode a strong pitch­ing out­ing from Darby Crozier and three hits from Tyler Gal­loway to a 9-6 win over the Wey­burn Oil­ers.

In round robin action the In­di­ans earned a 5-3 win over the Moose Jaw Mets, a 10-2 win over the Este­van Tor­na­does, and suf­fered a 3-2 loss to the Man­i­toba Oil Dome.

Ear­lier this month the Pee­Wee Tribe opened their league sched­ule at home with a 10-1 win over the Moose Jaw Mets fol­lowed by a 15-10 loss to the Mets.

The Pee­Wee In­di­ans ( 1-1-0) will be back on the road this week­end as they head to Este­van (23-0) on Satur­day and Wey­burn ( 2-0-0) on Sun­day for a pair of dou­ble head­ers.

The Tribe cur­rently sit in fourth-place in the eight-team Regina AAA Pee­Wee Base­ball League with a .500 winning per­cent­age.
