Rampage lacrosse team bounced by the Big Dogs
The Swift Current Dickson Agencies Rampage lacrosse team had a busy four days at home with a trio of games.
Despite a four-goal performance from Matt Pavlovic the Rampage fell 11-6 to the visiting Moose Jaw Mustangs on Thursday.
Pavlovic found the net on four occasions in the second period but it was not enough as the Rampage were unable to overcome 38 minutes in penalties.
Brody Graham added a goal and two assists, followed by a single goal from Cody Bolotniuk.
KyleMackay, Nic Briere, and Shane Janke all added helpers for Swift Current.
Saturday the Rampage tamed the visiting Yorkton Bulldogs in an 8-1 win led by a natural hat trick from Pavlovic.
Matt Pierce, Bolotniuk, andMackay each added a goal and an assist. Colton Mamer and Justin Smith added single goals. Briere added a pair of helpers, followed by singles from Ryan Shipley, Janke, and Graham.
Sunday the Rampage allowed three third period goals in a 6-4 loss to the visiting Estevan Big Dogs.
Mackay and ColtonWilde both netted singles, while Pierce scored the Rampage’s last two goals in the loss.
Graham, Bolotniuk, Janke, Bryce Molyneux, Mackay, and Shipley all recorded assists.
With the weekend split against Yorkton and Estevan the Rampage now have a 2-4-0 record with four games remaining in their Prairie Gold Lacrosse League schedule.
Next action for the Rampage will be June 5th when they host the Regina Riot (3-1-0) at 2 p.m. at the Credit Union iplex in their final regular season home game of the season.
