Crowds enjoy Little Theatre fall production

Southwest Booster - - NEWS -

Swift Current Little Theatre served up their traditional fall serving of slapstick during their production of The Amorous Ambassador which recently ran for five performance late last month.

The madcap comedy written by Michael Parker puts a farcical spin on the unique situations the characters find themselves in when their lusty weekend plans are foiled when an Ambassador’s country home is turned into a command centre when a bomb threat is issued at his embassy.

The lead role of the Amorous Ambassador fell to veteran actor/director Ken Johnson, whose character Harry lives up to his Amorous Ambassador moniker by being a non-stop skirt chasing lecherous individual.

The entire cast Joanne Matsalla (Marion), Megan Brooks (Debbie), Chris Martens ( Joe); Kurtis Bakanec (Captain South), Lindsay Woods (Faye), Jarod Johnson (Perkins), and Mina Krywulak (Lois) all turned in strong performances with ideal comedic timing in the quick paced production. Captain South (Kurtis Bakanec) had a little help from his friends Faye (Lindsay Woods), Perkins ( Jarod Johnson), and Debbie (Megan Brooks) during this scene from The Amorous Ambassador.
