November sets records for many manufacturers
November was very good for most manufacturers. Several even recorded the highest number of sales in their history last month.
Overall, there were 133,860 new vehicles registered in November which represents an increase of 6.5 per cent compared to last year. BMW, Land Rover, Jaguar, Infiniti, Nissan and Subaru are among the manufacturers that would have loved to see November continue. For Subaru and Mazda, November set a new record in terms new car sales. With 3327 sales and a 22 per cent increase compared to the month of November 2012, Subaru also set a new record for the number of annual new car sales ( for the manufacturer), and there is still one month left in 2013. Mazda in turn sold 5,911 cars last month, which represents an increase of 13.2 per cent.
Nissan is the big winner in terms of percentage increase in sales among Japanese manufacturers with an increase of 19.9 per cent. On the other hand, the largest number of cars sold within this group goes to Toyota with 14,263 registered vehicles, 7.8 per cent more than last year.
