Three suspects sought in targeted attack
A trail of blood; two men wounded, one seriously; three suspects sought.
Police say it was a targeted attack that brought three men into a west London home with weapons, leaving one with a gunshot wound and another with injuries from a fight.
What’s not known yet is who fired the gun Wednesday night in the shooting at a house along Springbank Drive.
Thursday, as they worked the taped-off address, London police said they need more witnesses to come forward in what they called “a very active investigation” into what happened Wednesday before they and paramedics arrived at the scene about 10:15 p.m.
“We’re looking for witnesses to come forward to provide additional information to us in order for us to identify these individuals and make some arrests,” said Const. Sandasha Bough.
People in the neighbourhood said at least two men moved into the house last spring. One neighbour said a lot of people came and went from the house at all hours of the day, unusual for the otherwise quiet area.
“It’s a really nice neighbourhood,” said Shari Johnson, who lives around the corner from the home near Seawood Avenue. “We all noticed when they moved in.”
At about 10:15 p.m., police and paramedics were called to the house where they found one man with a gunshot wound and another with injuries from a fight. The three suspects are described as: • A black man, about six-foot-five, with a thin build, who wore a black toque, black clothing and a yellow jacket.
• A white man in his 20s, with a slim build, about five-foot-five. He wore a black jacket with a hood.
• An Indigenous man in his 20s, medium build, about five-foot-eight, who wore a black face mask.
