WIL­LIAMSTOWN — The Char-Lan Rebels picked up a week­end win, 5-3 over the Em­brun Pan­thers in Cen­tral Canada Hockey League Tier 2 play on Satur­day night in Wil­liamstown. The Rebels got two-goal, one-as­sist per­for­mances from Bren­nan Markell and Derek Lis­ter, and Pierre-Luc Sabourin scored once. Ja­son Cos­sette and Parker Tall­man each had a pair of as­sists for Char-Lan, which is 3-8 and in sev­enth place in the Martin Di­vi­sion. Third­place Em­brun fell to 7-5. Darien John­son blocked 31 of 34 shots to get the goal­tend­ing win. • Mean­while at the Glen­garry Sports Palace in Alexan­dria on Satur­day night, the Glens dropped a 4-3 de­ci­sion in over­time to the Perth Blue Wings. An­thony Douchant’s goal 2:31 into the ex­tra ses­sion brought the game to a sud­den halt. Perth had a big rally late in the third pe­riod to get the con­test to an ex­tra ses­sion, ral­ly­ing from a 3-1 deficit with a pair of goals in 78 sec­onds, in­clud­ing the equal­izer with 12 sec­onds to go and with an ex­tra at­tacker on the ice. Austin Ladouceur scored twice for the Glens, and Sam Lacroix sin­gled.
