Urge your MPP to vote no

Standard-Freeholder (Cornwall) - - OPINION -

I am appalled by the actions of our Ontario provincial government.

Premier Doug Ford is planning to override constitutional rights by using the notwithstanding clause. If this legislation passes, it would set a precedent for Ontario and Canada comparable to dictatorships.

How sad that this man could overturn our rights, our freedoms, our constitution to get what he wants. Ford has said he would use the same tactic if the courts should derail his agenda.

Unfortunately we are watching a politician similar to what we have been witnessing in a country south of our border.

My MPP has a vote. Hopefully it will not be a vote to follow the party line.

Please take a stand to stop this new law. Call or email your MPP.
