Calling all entrepreneurs!
The Memphremagog CLD has officially launched their call to candidates for the “creation d’entreprise” category of the 13th edition of the Concours quebecoise en entrepreneuriat. This year, $500,000 in prize money will be awarded.
This contest is the only contest that is open to students from the elementary level all the way to university, as well as to new entrepreneurs who are often in the middle of getting their business launched.
Entrepreneurs who are 18 or older, in the first stages of realizing a project for 2011 or who made their first sales after April 1st, 2010, are eligible to participate. The projects can be presented in different categories:
bio-food; commerce; social economy; exportation; transformation or production; technological or technical innovation; services to individuals; and services to enterprises. Furthermore, the “Transmission d’entreprises” prize aims to encourage entrepreneurs who take over an existing business.
The projects are evaluated according to differing criteria such as the analysis of the marketplace, the operating plan, the marketing and financing plan, as well as the entrepreneurial profile of the promoter.
