Helpers needed for Plaisirs d’Hiver day

Stanstead is hold­ing its Plaisirs d’Hiver win­ter fun day on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 12th this year, as usual at Beebe Me­mo­rial Park. Or­ga­niz­ers are still fi­nal­iz­ing many great ac­tiv­i­ties and games, how­ever, one thing is cer­tain: they are look­ing for vol­un­teers! “We re­ally need vol­un­teers to help with the slid­ing, keep­ing the kids in line,” men­tioned Maryse Trepanier of the Stanstead Recre­ation As­so­ci­a­tion who puts on the event ev­ery year. Vol­un­teers for some of the other ac­tiv­i­ties are also needed. Or­ga­niz­ers are also hop­ing to find par­tic­i­pants for a new game of gi­ant foozball that they will be try­ing out.

The po­lar plunge is back and there will, once again, be cash prizes for orig­i­nal­ity. Peo­ple can reg­is­ter for this ahead of time at loisirs@stanstead.ca or on site the day of.
