“Le Givré” is people’s choice
Barnston West’s Domaine Félibre has been named a gold medal winner at the third edition of the Prix du Public 2011 for its ice cider Le Givré. The contest was held on January 23rd at the Chateau Frontenac where around 400 products vied for recognition. The ice cider was blind-tasted by 350 amateur volunteers who, with the help of wine experts, chose 6 “grands medailles d’or”, 27 “medailles d’or” like that awarded to Le Givré, and 79 “medailles d’argent”. Receiving this gold medal will permit the ice cider to be tasted at the Salon international des vins et spiriteux de Québec in March.
