season with a 37-3 record, the best in 40 years of Galt hockey.

A former standout player, while a student at Galt, Robbie completed his education degree at Bishop’s University and then headed “home” up the 108 to teach History and coach hockey at Galt. After volunteering as an assistant coach for 9 years, Robbie took over the Senior Hockey Team in 2001-2002, and has continued to lead the Pipers through a Proud Tradition. He works hard to make hockey fun for his players, while instilling in them sportsmanship and a commitment to excellence both on the ice and in the classroom.

A tireless volunteer, Robbie has coached “Apple Juice” hockey in Lennoxville as well as Minor hockey within the Borough of Sherbrooke. He also coaches soccer during the summer within the community. Robbie helps to raise money for Galt Athletics by running a Golf Tournament in the summer; the “Piper Classic”.

The winning broomball team in Ayer’s Cliff, last Saturday, were (l. to r. in back) Shayne Brus, Billy Brus, Willy Brus, Kevin Brus, Eric Aulis, and Peter Mcharg. Sitting in front are Sabrina Distefano, Shannon Joyce and Shelley Brus.
