Mermaids find new home
Raymond Boudreault , retired stonecutter and sculptor, has donated one of his wood carvings to the Goodrich Memorial Library. Mr Boudreault is a multi-talented artist who has worked in marble, wood, soapstone, granite and ice. In the past his work has been shown at galleries in Quebec, the Vermont Folklife Center, and Middlebury College. Created in 1989, this 6 foot basrelief plaque depicting a mermaid couple can now be seen in the second floor reading room at the Goodrich Library. It is with great appreciation for Mr. Boudreault’s talents that the library sincerely thanks him for his donation. We invite everyone to come to the library to view this outstanding piece of art.
