Pot seized in Stanstead
Following a short investigation, Sureté du Québec officers have found a marijuana ‘growop’ on Gendron Street, in Stanstead. In the basement of the residence, officers found about one hundred marijuana plants in different stages of maturity. Besides these plants and all the growing equipment, the police found five plastic bags containing a total of about one kilogram of marijuana ready for sale. A quantity of cash was also discovered.
A man of 46 and a woman of 43 will have to appear at the Sherbrooke Courthouse within the next few weeks to respond to accusations of marijuana production and possession of drugs with the intent to traffic.
