Fire­men’s Dance this Satur­day

Ifyou haven’t al­ready done so, be sure to re­serve Satur­day, March 19th for your lo­cal fire­men. Back by pop­u­lar de­mand is the fire­men as­so­ci­a­tions’ ben­e­fit dance, to be held at Lebaron Hall (at Stanstead Col­lege). Doors open at 8:30pm, and the mu­sic will be­gin at 9pm. Lo­cal fa­vorite “Slightly Hag­gard” fea­tur­ing Brian Custis and son, will be play­ing all sorts of coun­try and some clas­sic rock. Lieu­tenant Chris Good­sell, lead or­ga­nizer of the event, prom­ises a good time. “It’s that time of year where there is not a lot of things go­ing on, so this is a great op­por­tu­nity to get out of the house and sup­port a good cause”. Funds raised serve a va­ri­ety of pur­poses. For ex­am­ple, Christ­mas Toy Drive, lo­cal house fire vic­tims, Border­fest float and ac­tiv­i­ties, meals for vol­un­teers dur­ing blood drive, train­ing ex­er­cises, cancer re­search, and fallen fire­fighter foun­da­tions. Tick­ets are $5 in ad­vance, and $8 at the door so buy early! Tick­ets are avail­able through any of the fire­men, or by con­tact­ing Charles McIn­tyre (678-7496) or Chris Good­sell (578-5151).
