TheEastern Townships Canadian Club/Club Canadien des Cantons de l’Est will feature Anne O’Donnell who is an Industrial Hygienist with 20 years experience in the field.
Industrial hygiene is the science of protecting and enhancing the health and safety of people at work, at home and in their communities. Health and safety hazards cover a wide range of chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic stressors.
Anne O’Donnell is the first person in Eastern Canada to offer state of the art mould detection services using a certified mould detection canine. With her mould detecting dog, O’Livia, they are specialists in finding mould in health clinics, hospitals, schools, offices, residences and manufacturing facilities. O’Livia, a programmed Weimarmer, is trained to find mould in various hidden places, such as behind walls and under floors. Anne O’Donnell has worked as a scientific professional at the Quebec Health and Safety Research Institute specializing in ventilation and air quality. Her expertise includes air quality evaluations in manufacturing facilities and offices, ventilation evaluations, chemical product measurements in air, asbestos, legal representation, toxicological studies, noise exposure measurements and heat stress. Anne is an avid and experienced cyclist, and also has participated in a skijoring training camp sponsored by the International Federation of Sled Sporting dogs.
Members, both men and women, and the public are invited to meet for dinner and this important presentation on Monday, April 4 at 6:30 PM at Hôtel Le Président, 3535 King W. in Sherbrooke. Reservations are necessary for both meal and presentation; reserve at 819-826-3929 by March 31. There is a charge to attend the presentation only (7:45 PM).
