Our March meeting was held at Phyllis Dustin’s home in Ayer’S Cliff on March 3rd with 9 members present. Phyllis had tastefully decorated her home for St. Patrick’s day. Due to having a guest speaker, we had our lunch first, what a lunch it was. Phyllis had kept the St. Patrick’s day theme, made 3 kinds of Irish Soda bread, Irish sugar cookies and a green birthday cake to celebrate the birthdays of Winnie Wright, Irene Humphrey and one guest speaker Lynn Wood. We enjoyed Lynn very much as she gave an informative talk about cab and all the services they provide. Phyllis spoke aobut growing blueberries in Canada. We enjoyed seeing 3 deer come up to the patio to check on us. The treasurer, Velma Eryou was absent due to illness, so money will be collected next month. Scotty read the minutes from February. Discussion was held about the craft competition for the fair. Elane proposed it be done in memory of Mildred Roarke who was always involved with the crafts. Our spring fling in May was discussed. We talked about the convention in June at McDonald College. We were reminded about the county meeting to be held in North Hatley March 29th.
