Father’s 50th well celebrated
Father Alfred Thibault, who is in charge of the Roman Catholic churches in Stanstead and Fitch Bay, got the best homage when, in English, Father Yvon Malouin, of Sacré-Coeur Church, at a loss of words to describe his colleague, humbly said that Father Thibault exemplified sweetness. “Serving without dominating,” said Father Malouin.
“I found my joy in what I accomplished,” said Father Thibault.
Father Thibault was celebrated, last Satuday, at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci Church by his parishioners for achieving 50 years in the priesthood. Two hundred of them went on to celebrate him after mass in a church basement supper.
