Foundation scores a star

Stanstead Journal - - FRONT PAGE - Staff, Magog

We all remember Jean Chrétien’s golf balls of the Gomery enquiry fame. Well Guy

Richer, who as a comedian has made Quebec laugh with his parody of the former prime minister and as an actor was able to portray him in Trudeau, the CBC mini-series, will be the emcee at the June 3rd Memphremagog Hospital Foundation fundraiser.

He has a very special reason to host the event: his companion is a nurse at the hospital. The money raised will buy an ultrasound machine for the emergency ward. Tickets are available at the foundation, (819) 834-2292 extension 2623.

Guy Richer having his heart checked, he was surprised that it was so low, by nurse Marie-Claude Roy and doctor Yves Arcand while honorary president Christian DeGrâce watches from the background.
