Hospital health care CAREER scholarship DEADLINE NEAR
Arearesidents are invited to apply for North Country Hospital Health Care Career Scholarships for the 2011-2012 school year. The deadline for applications is approaching. Any area resident seeking a health care career, including graduating high school seniors and older, non-traditional students, is eligible to apply. Completed applications, including transcripts, must be received by the hospital by May 10, 2011.
The scholarships are based on scholastic ability, achievement, aptitude, motivation, and financial need. Applicant must live in the North Country Hospital service area. Scholarships are awarded for four years, as long as the recipient maintains at least a 2.5 grade point average.
This is the 23rd year the Board of Trustees of North Country Hospital has appropri- ated funds to encourage area students to pursue careers in the health care field. Funds raised by the Annual North Country Hospital Benefit Golf Tournament held each year provides for additional scholarships.
Additional scholarships available are the Joyce Selan Nursing Scholarship and the Toni Smith Respiratory Care scholarship, and the Caryl B. Custer Nursing Scholarship. Your application will automatically be submitted for these if appropriate.
